Green Ideas Network is pleased to host Surrey's 1st Annual Environmental Film Festival as part of the 10th Annual Environmental Extravaganza.
Venue: Simon Fraser University, Surrey Room 2600. Time: 6:30 - 10 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm, first come-first serve seating. | Films begin at 7 pm. | Schedule: Friday, April 27 | The Synthetic Sea Story (30 minuntes) A documentary about an expedition to the middle of the Pacific Ocean by the Algalita Marine Research Foundation to investigate why toxic, plastic debris threatens marine food webs.
An Inconvenient Truth (1 hour, 37 minutes) Oscar-winning documentary on climate change featuring former Vice President, Al Gore. His persuasive argument is a wake-up call that delivers compelling evidence about the reality of global warming.
